Becka's Story

Becka has spent her lifetime in the people industry. Growing up, her father led his own staffing/placement firm in the Twin Cities and Kansas City. It was from her dad that she learned about talent acquisition, payroll, HR, and running a business. 

Becka attended Minnesota State University, Mankato. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2011 – majoring in Management with an emphasis in Human Resources. During her time in Mankato, she worked as an intern in the university’s HR department. Go Mavs!

Becka’s career took off back in the Twin Cities area, starting her career at one of the world’s largest industrial distributors – the Wurth Group. She obtained her Professional in HR (PHR) certification, completed a high-potential leadership development program in Germany, and soon after moved into senior/executive leadership roles. Becka spent time working in a variety of industries – industrial distribution, manufacturing, medical device, and travel management to name a few. In 2024, Becka completed graduate school – obtaining her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of North Dakota. 

Over the years, leaders throughout Becka’s network reached out for her expertise related to:

  • Executing people initiatives
  • Compliance with employment laws and regulations
  • Challenging employee situations & investigations
  • Manager development
  • Retraining top talent
  • Aligning people practices to organizational goals
  • Enhancing HR team performance and correcting processes/practices

It was clear to Becka that there was a need for quality people-related leadership – especially for small and mid-sized businesses. Becka saw opportunity to make a true impact with those teams, which resulted in her forming Wolson LLC. She now partners with leaders of all levels and across a variety of industries, bringing her expertise and passion – all to build better workplaces and businesses.

Becka, her husband Jeremy, and their two children live in the NW Twin Cities suburbs where they are surrounded by a supportive community. Outside of spending time with loved ones, Becka enjoys doing Pilates, stand up paddle boarding, DIY projects, weekends at the cabin, traveling, and dreams of someday owning her own chickens.
